I have been representing small businesses and individuals before the Internal Revenue Service and the Georgia Department of Revenue since 1982. Typical types of cases include assisting people who have not filed tax returns, clients who are being audited or investigated by the IRS, negotiating installment payment plans and Offers in Compromise with the IRS, handling cases before the IRS Appeals Division and U.S. Tax Court, innocent spouse cases where, often after a divorce or death, the remaining spouse is being held liable for tax which should have been paid by the former spouse, and situations where medical or financial issues prevent the client from being able to pay past or current taxes. Typical cases for clients who own small businesses include failure to pay employment taxes, and various other penalties. Unlike tax resolution companies that are good at scaring clients and selling to them, I am a licensed attorney, and remain personally involved in every case until its conclusion. Clients are given my direct office phone number, and are encouraged to discuss their case with me throughout. I have served on the Executive Committee of the Georgia State Bar Section of Taxation, and this year I have been elected its Chairman. Keeping clients informed and involved has been my priority, as is evidenced by the many 5-Star reviews on AVVO and Google.
